Race Face the Return
I will never forget the feeling in my gut when I first heard that the doors were locked at Race Face last year. I was standing on Indian Arm road with a stopwatch in one hand and a cell phone in the other. Disbelief. I thought it was a prank.
I ultimately think it was my fault. For once I had my crap together, started a new race team and had my orders in and parts on the bikes by the end of January. Is it possible that me being dialed after 15 yrs was just enough to toss the universe at Race Face? I doubt it, but it did cross my mind.
Well that was the past and this is the future.
Race Face is back with the OG Tutton at the helm. Simmons is on the armor and Tippie is on the Mic. Starkie is selling it like hotcakes and I am still kicking around like that piece of paper that won’t get off your shoe.
The team out at Race Face is running at full throttle and they are crushing it. New designs from Wendy and Rob sorting out all of us riders out and keep us on our bikes where we belong.
Look thru the team lists, and you will see a veritable who’s who of the MTB scene from all over the world.
I am super busy coaching and the team is ready to win! Props to all my athletes for the work they have put in!
Head to C4Race.com and see what me and my crew have been up to over the last year
Lets here it for Race Face 2012.
Too bad the world is ending soon.

C4 RaceFace/Norco/Marzocchi Team 2011
Last week our new team bikes came in. Every one is supper pumped on them and cant wait for racing to start up now! So far I have done a few laps of my local mountain on them to just get used to the feeling of a new bike and how it all works, it went really well! I love the bike. Without the help from out team manager/coach Cory we would have never been this far and probably wouldn’t even have these bikes with out all of his time spent organizing all of this, THANKS CORY!

Ladies Nites @ C4 RiderTraining
I have also had the pleasure of working with some of the fastest ladies on the BC Cup Circuit in 2010. They have come from far and wide to seek the secrets to speed. Basically they moldable clay and quite a pleasure to ride/work with. It takes a special kind of lady to pursue DH racing and these girls are no exception.
After they endured my drills at a few different Squamish locales I took them to the BMX track to work on manuals and jump transfers. My methods are unconventional but I assure you being bored is not part of C4 Training.

C4Race.com Update!!!
Jordan Gostelli, Max Horner, Nick Geddes, Miranda Miller, Tyler Allison.
I like to keep it interesting for these guys. Make em sweat and even scare them a bit sometimes. The first zone I found to scare them involved going pretty much as fast as they possibly could down a chewed up gravel road way back in the mountains, full throttle drift training. Moto speeds on DH bikes got everyones blood pumping.

A bunch of the fastest young folks in the country and even the world
Jordan Gostelli, Max Horner, Nick Geddes, Miranda Miller, Tyler Allison.
These people are seriously dedicated and I am proud and honored to work with them. I have been working with Nick since he was 11 and same for Tyler( kinda). Max has been with me now for a couple years and Jordan and Miranda are new to the fold. I am fortunate to rip with these maniacs on a weekly basis and love that they humor me and my twisted drills. I am a serious coach it seems and I love the stoke and enthusiasm they bring to my C4 Sessions.

One other fun thing to do is to make your racers shred the BMX track on their DH race bikes. 5 laps around the track and up the start hill turns into a bit of puker. One must admire the dedication of these racers. Training isn’t all about fun kids.
Why so red in the face Miller?
Big G, working it out.
Tyler and Max sweating in the sun. Dedicated young men for sure.
Thanks to all the rippers that came out this year, I would post all the podium shots that C4 has but I might blow out the server!
“rest” days include lovely canoe rides down the Squamish River.
