Dust and light at Mt. Cypress
A few weekends ago I spent the day filming with Antoine Lamine’man (Poul) and Dunbars Nic Rodgers up on Mt Cypress. After a smashed deralier and a flat tire, this is the result.

hemlock bc cup
After 3 months of racing in the summer it was time for the BC CUP finals at Hemlock Resort. I raced it last year so i knew what i was getting myself into. I thought the course would of been a bit harder packed as this was the second season of racing there but the course proved to be even rowdier than last year. During my final training run on day 1 my front wheel got caught in a root sticking out of a stump causing me to go over the bars and brake a piece of my neck brace, resulting in me using a zap strap to keep it on my neck. The next day was race day and that meant being on the very slow and amazingly windy lift for 30 minutes without a jacket on and then wait for an hour at the top of the trail until its your turn to drop. After having a disapointing run last year I knew this was my last chance to pull up a decent race result before the season is over. After dropping in I had a clean fast run with very few mistakes takin, putting me into 6th place. Not as good as I was hoping for but its better than last years result! After my race Me and my dad made the 4 hour drive to Vernon to pick up my new Norco Aurum. http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8618650/
Then we had to make the 7 hour drive back home to Tsawwassen…
Now that the 2012 race season is over I will be preparing for next years season. I would like to thank Race Face for the support and for helping me have a great season!

canadian open dh
I went up to whistler last Friday until monday for the canadian open dh at crankworx. After 3 days of training on the incredibally blown out course it was time for my race run. I had all my lines dialed and my bike was running great. After having a great run I lost my luck before entering lower canadian open dh in the bonyard when my tire exploded. So I coasted down the trail rolling over all the jumps. I ended up getting a very dissapointing 15th with a time of 3;51. Heres the link to one of a video of one of my training runs on pinkbike.canadian open dh training run (crankworx)

Whistler, Sun Peaks and Bear Mountain
Hey everybody, This is my first post, so i dont really know what to say. So Ill start with the basics. My name is Kurt Heering, im 14 years old and I live in a small town in BC by the name of Tsawwassen. My family was originally from Johanesburg South Africa. I have been riding since I got my first bike at age 4. My favorite riding spots are probably Mt Cypress in West Vancouver and Whistler Bikepark. After placing 4th in u17 last weekend at the very muddy Bear Mountain DH I have been eager to get back on my bike, so I will be going to be up in Whistler on Tuesday July 10th and staying for 3 days before leaving for Sun Peaks on Friday for BC Cup number 3. If anyone is around and wants to go for a ride (DH or DJ) give me a text 778 809 7245 or comment on this post.
