This was my first year racing downieville. I had always heard how fun it was and was stoked to have gotten in to finally be able to compete in it. The XC went great and I got 1st place in the 18 and under Expert category. The downhill on the following day was a great course but I had a piece of metal about 2 inches long pierce my tire and give me a flat. The festivities were very fun though and I am sure to race next year!

Goin to the 2012 XC Nationals this week, racing next Friday. Also have the Super D on the following Sunday along with a short track race. Can’t wait!
