Out there working with Chris Christie always gets results. This was taken in Squamish during the summer.

What-Biking-UK_Peru

Last year we hit up Peru with a great crew of guys and landed 4 stories around the world. This year, next week in fact we are headed down to explore Chile, followed by a week in Maui at Ryder Hesjedals Training camp, busy winter.

Summer ain’t over it just moved to a different country.

Cheers

You Like This update # 2

Taylor "Liking This"

I posted a few weeks ago about the web film I have been working on called ‘You Like This’ and since that post we have been going hard filming. I have been taking inspiration from big mountain skiing and I feel that the two lines pictured below best illustrate that.

+30 National Champion!

Yay, I won, and got a sweet jersey after all these years. I am proud of my team and all the Team BC Racers. Props to all the voli’s and coaches that have worked together to mold some of the best racers in the county!

The BC Team, and 1 poacher.

Here is a pic of Graham Beatty( front), the +40 National Champ, Jordan Gostelli the U17 Champ, and of course me, a bunch of Squamish shredders, Miranda was injured all spring and still managed 2nd in elite, too bad she wasnt around for the photo!

Go Squamish!

Some Squamish, some Sunshine Coast, some smackdown!

Last weekend was so fantastic I don’t even have any riding pics as no one wanted to stop or get off their bike!  It started with a last minute jaunt to Squamish to check out the new Half Nelson trail that Big Red Ted & Co. built.  We decided to drop into the 19th Hole, a double diamond steep descent of goodness into the the new trail, which was a virtual playland of fun!  Two laps later I was tuckered.  The next day we got a phone call from fellow teammate Dan Gronross at a rather offensive 7:20am on a weekend to tell us to get on the SSC ferry.  We initially were hesitant as the Rat Race was going down, but thanks to locals Curtis Robinson and Dylan Dunkerton, we were shuttled way out of the way of any crowds and high into the loamy goodness that is Roberts Creek.  Fast fun loamloamloamloam……….Dan even kissed a tree at full speed with a bucket lid and now is left with a severe concussion – and he still thinks it was worth it!!!!!!!

(Zoolander posing in our RF gear is the only shot we got – sorry)  This weekend Tippie and I are off to Whistler Bike Park for opening weekend, to shred some trail with our fellow freaky freeriders….see ya on the trails!

One of those weekends…

That seemed destined to be a great one. Friday afternoon, with the sun firing all cylinders I headed to a friends house for far too much Steak and Potatoes.

This was after one lap... and there were smiles, hoots, hollars all day! Thanks to the Coastal Crew for the shuttles! Photo: Dan Gronross

Proud to a member of the RaceFace Crew!

thanks to Julian for setting me up with sexxxy parts for my Dh bike. A little about me…..I am a personal trainer, I live in Squamish, but born and raised on the Shore’ Lived there my whole life and only started exploring it on a bike after returning from 4yrs of school at the University of North Carolina where I was on a field hockey scholarship. I was a member of the National Team for Canada prior to that for field hockey as well.

After graduating with honours with a Psychology major and a communication minor I moved back to NV and my lovely boyfriend set me up on one of Sarah Fenton’s old bikes, a Brodie Thumper! I can’t believe I spent al; those years on the Shore and wasn’t biking! Part of me is stoked that its fresh and new and part of me regrets waiting this long.

So I now live in the best riding town on earth and own way too many bikes. A habit I think I picked up from my boyfriend. Race Face alumnus Cory Leclerc.

As a surprise for my bday this year, he was kind enough to strip the paint off my beat up old GloryDH and replace all the bearing and throw a coat of flat black on it.

Here are some bad pics from my phone……thanks to Julian for the parts and Cory for the update, she rides like a dream.
Its sooooo beautiful, but I will post some pics…..so again thanks to Julian for the support in 2009, and I will be putting a better effort towards this blog in 2010.

I sometimes wonder who cares what i am up to, but I will post it even if you don’t read this far……lol

C4 Rider Training

I have been coaching a pretty serious group of young racers for over 5yrs now. They are all on the verge of turning pro and I am proud to say are some of the Nations fastest young shredders. After spending a few seasons coaching in the Whistler Bike Park I feel I am ready to start spreading my explosive coaching style to the poor innocent public. My “race style” concepts are amazing for helping all riders achieve riding goals faster and safer than thru some other peoples systems. Keep your ear to the tracks for more info. It is a casual thing now but C4RiderTraining will make you better, on and off your bike.
