Just back from an epic weekend of fall riding in Kamloops BC with Race Face riders Brett Tippie, Matt Brooks, Dylan Sherrard, Beth Parsons & Sarah Fenton. We were luckily enough to be joined by Transition Bikes very own Sam Burkhardt & wife Jessica, not to mention fellow Brits Will & Warren.
Here’s some GoPro footage from one of the awesome trails we rode. Look out for more soon. Thanks go out to Cheryl at the Bicycle Cafe. Stop by next time you’re in Kamloops.

It’s’ not a very big secret that I really enjoy riding my bike at Sun Peaks Resort. I can’t really think of anything that makes me happier than banging off lap after lap of high speed single track littered with jumps and steep rocks, only to hop back on the lift for more. Sun Peaks is close to home and everyone is a bro. I could go on for paragraphs, or I could show you the first installment of a a three part video series by Karl Heldt featuring myself and Jeremy Tenisch. Erip!

This is the first of three bike checks on my Banshee bikes for this year. First up is my trusty wildcard which I have been using as my all round bike since last summer.

Sean picked up a new camera and the weather was nice so we headed out to jumps to try it out and we got some shots!

Here’s a quick video I did for Banshee Bikes showing their VF4B (virtual floating four bar) suspension system in action. It’s meant to demonstrate the suspension performance in a variety of conditions, hence the climbing, descending, jumping, and just plain romping the rough stuff! Shot with a GoPro Hero HD and Manfrotto magic arm. Legend MKII footage thanks to Lorien at Sooke Mtn Cycle.
And a few screengrabs:

Aaron LaRocque and I had been talking about a concept for an all-mountain edit for a long time. We wanted to combine backcountry riding with awesome scenery and remote lake fishing. The project went off great, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.
On the last morning of shooting, I took a fall on a double rock-to-rock jump right at the top of the trail where we started shooting. After I recovered from knocking the wind out of myself, I noticed that somehow the chainring had sliced through my shoe, augered into my foot, and high fived my calf on the way out. Luckily it wasn’t too serious and we were able to get the footage we needed, blood dripping onto the crank arm, just before the weather got dark and rainy.
Here’s a little edit Aaron did with some spare footage. If you can’t take blood, you might not want to watch past 0:25 or so…
