FF to yesterday, I've been getting comfortable on a local pro line and maybe a bit too comfortable I jumped a tabletop midway through the trail and manualed the landing (not on purpose) then proceeded to eat poo. My buddies kid said it looked cool before that poo eating part... anywho, the padding was muuuch more protective than i had anticipated. I assumed once the adrenaline wore off I was in a world of hurt, but I was good! I have an underlayer padded top I bought years ago for motorcycling that I've been using in the trails so elbows forearms shins knees, all fine just bruising and scraping on the hip really. The knee pads other than being dirty are ready to go no damage at all. Me and the bike need a little tlc. Amazing product for the price, for SURE if I didn't have them on at the very least my left leg would be in really bad shape. Sizing wise, if you measure out to a 2xl even if just on the cusp of 2xl (which I did) or whatever size bases on their sizing chart, don't go down a size thinking you'll stretch them out to fit it won't work. If your calves measure a 2xl but quads are in the xl range get the 2xl. With the right size they're super comfortable you forget you're wearing them and very easy to put on and take off and adjust.
